Welcome to San Jose JACL!
The San Jose chapter is the Bay Area's
oldest and largest JACL Chapter. Originally organized as the American
Loyalty League in 1923, it affiliated with the National JACL in
1930 and ever since has been an active proponent for and contributor
to San Jose Japantown. The chapter office is located in the heart
of Japantown in the historic Issei Memorial Building (IMB), a
City of San Jose historical landmark (For more information on

Chapter activities span a wide range
of topics, including annual events like the Scholarship Luncheon, Junior
Olympics, and Nikkei Matsuri, as well as special interest events, such as
educational forums, movies, movie screenings, and community service
